On the womens side, Demi Vollering is sponsored by Charlotte Tilbury so the desire is clearly there. I think there are some issues with how teams - owned by sponsors - allow athletes to have other sponsors, which is key for Demi and I think one of the things that appealed to her about FDJ Suez-United. It will also be key if we want cycling events to have more fashion moments - we need the athletes to be teaming up with fashion brands.
Enjoyed it, a good piece with a different angle of marketing the riders personal side off the bike, but you only need to look at Adam Blythe (ex Lotto Soudal, TNT 🚴 race presenter.

Loved this piece. You should send this directly to Bas and The Rockets who have enough content folks on staff to see the vision and actually execute it.
One major problem is that cyclist physiques are so not suited to fashion even though they are elite athletes. Even someone who appears to be buff like Dylan Groenewegen would have a hard time wearing Rick even if he can pull off latex cycling gloves. Ben probably has it right looking to Japan so I'd love to see the peloton flooded with CDG and Yohji.
Yeah imagine a full team dripped out in Yohji getting in the team bus. What an image. I do believe the right stylists can make anything work. These cyclists all have “model physiques” (skinny) just with bigger legs. Full prada fits would slap. Even give me some dudes in cool suits.
